Pedal box and steering column

The second thing I built for Team Meridian, and the first with a driver's foot on it.

After the uprights I took the driver controls, which brought a whole set of rules I had not met before: pedal travel, brake bias, and a regulation about what happens if a linkage fails.

The pedal box is a machined baseplate with adjustable pedal faces, so drivers between 1.68 m and 1.91 m can all reach without moving the seat. Everything is bolted, nothing is welded, and the whole assembly comes out in four minutes with one spanner.

Both drivers asked for the same pedal spacing after the first test day, which I took as a pass.
